I have a documnet on MS Word that I want to print, but when I go to print it a message appears and states "The page borders of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page". There is a border around the document, so when I print it the border part on the bottom of the page is cut off. How do I set the page so that the whole border fits when printed?

shrink it or expand your printer margins

1. Your error means that the margins you have set up in word are too small for the printer you are printing too. Go into page setup and make your margins bigger.
2. Go into print preview, there's a button in there that's called "shrink to fit". Click that and then everything should fit to one page.

Obviously the bottom border is outside of the page margins.

Under FILE, click on PAGE SETUP. There you will find a "tab" for setting the margins on your document, and another "tab" for setting the paper size.

You just have to experiment a little.
Normally, if you set Page Setup to 1" margins all the way around, it works alright.

After you select a border with Page Border,
on the lower-right side, click Options

The default is 24 points from the edge of the page. I prefer to set it about 20 points from the text.

--On the Border and Shading Options page,
--where it says "measure from"
--click the down arrow and select "text"
--set top, bottom left, right margins to 20 pts
--"surround header" and "surround footer" are probably checked
--click the checkmarks to remove them
--click o.k., o.k.

--Now click the Print Preview button to see how it will look.
--If you are happy with it, click "close" to close print preview.
--If you want to make adjustments and see them change,
click the "magnifier" button on the Print Preview toolbar.
--This will allow you to make changes while in Print Preview.
--To return to your document, click close.

with your document open go to "file", "page setup". a box will open and on the "margins" tab. since the bottom of your document is not printing completely you need to increase your bottom margin. in other words, if it is set at .5" then make it 1" or 1.5". save your document so it will keep the new settings. this should take care of it.
