Software - November 2007

I need to install a xp home in a computer and I got to the point I need 6 floppy to make boot up disk or smartdrv.exe
the pc I am going to install windows has not internet to download the floppy or smartdrv.exe
I can download the floppy and smartdrv.exe from another pc, however this pc has no floppy drive.
do I need 6 floppy or just one with a smartdrv.exe on it?
what's the best way to deal with this problem and the reason I am try to use floppy is because the pc I am going to install xp does not boot from the cd rom .Any help will really appreciated

Is there anyway in excel 2003 to use more than 3 validation options. I need to use five and depending on whats entered have a cell chang colour. Its urgent but I need it to be simpel as I'm not very good at understanding what people mean all the time. Sorry.

The programs I have so far are:

- ad-aware 2007
- avast! antivirus
- ccleaner
- COMODO firewall pro
- mcafee siteadvisor
- Spywareblaster
- superantispyware Free edition

Ok now, I am thinking of deleting these programs and installing new ones..good idea or bad idea? and to do that I will need to know what programs I will download after I delete these programs ..please tell me what the program does and where to download it..thankyou everyone

I have microsoft outlook express.
it keeps asking me "compact database". so i pressed "compacted database",
after that, my old mails are not there in the folders. Most of my mails are washed out. Pls some one let me know,how to find those mails.

Problem : I have a word document with tables defined. In each cell there are texts. When I do a click that highlights only a particular cell and paste it in Notepad, the entire table row's text is pasted!

Why is that so? Some documents will work with the desired paste (just the text in the highlighted cell), some will not.

I'm not sure where to check... Can someone enlighten me?

Someone has removed (by accident ) the drivers I need to connect to the internet (example conexant, v.9x D/F/V PCI Modem, Ethernet Controller, PCI Device, PCI Simple Communications Controller, and Video Controller (VGA Compatible). How do I reinstall them? Will I have to buy a new hard drive and start fresh? By-the-way, I am running WindowsXP Home Edition.

When I edit my pictures in photoshop, for some reason the picture comes out sort of fuzzy.. like this:

I edit the picture as I want, then I save for web, and I choose "gif 128 dithered" or whatever it is. Could you please help? Or tell me somewhere that I can get help!!

Against advice, I've just installed Norton 2008! Trouble is, a Norton toolbar has positioned itself right beneath my Yahoo one. When I tried to uncheck the Norton bar, it took my Yahoo one away with it! I've successfully unchecked the Norton bar in the past; how can I get rid of it now ... without losing Yahoo?

i officialy hate it now. i been wanting to make a new montage to go on my youtube but this f***ing thing is doing something ive never seen before. never saves my work +i have imported the clips & when i switch from storyboard to timeline - the videos dont show. isee the vidoes in 'storyboard' but when i create clips and put them in the timeline it doesn't let me move them down to size. i run windows xp and for whatever reason the control panel has changed from the default view to just a tab view and i can't figure out how to get it back. i thought there would be a "switch to classic view" option like in vista but i can't find it anywhere....any ideas?
