OUTLOOK express error "compact database"?

Question

I have microsoft outlook express.
it keeps asking me "compact database". so i pressed "compacted database",
after that, my old mails are not there in the folders. Most of my mails are washed out. Pls some one let me know,how to find those mails.

Microsoft has a knowledge base article about how all your email may disappear an dwhat could be done to retrieve them. Just go here and read it. Might help.

Check your recycle bin and c/documentsandsettings/user/outlook/check this area for them, if there not there then there probably gone
