Someone has removed (by accident ) the drivers I need to connect to the internet (example conexant, v.9x D/F/V PCI Modem, Ethernet Controller, PCI Device, PCI Simple Communications Controller, and Video Controller (VGA Compatible). How do I reinstall them? Will I have to buy a new hard drive and start fresh? By-the-way, I am running WindowsXP Home Edition.

You may have got a repair disk from dell. The drivers should be on it. Or you can go to another PC and go to dell web site and download then and put them on a disk. Then your set to reinstall them.

Dell is pretty good with support - contact Dell direct for help. Before you do, get out the model and serial number of your computer, your order number, anything you can do to identify yourself as a valid user. Dell has online chat and a community forum. I have used both.
