Software - November 2007

I have a data base of about 9000 names and addresses. I have added new names to the bottom of the list. I highlighted the whole sheet and did data>sort>sort last name ascending and then first name ascending. Now, a lot of the addresses are not matching up to their proper names. Some of them are correct, but some are not. Someone please help!

I just bought a gateway laptop with 1 GB DDR2 RAM...

Now the VISTA is giving me the pain in the ***...and I want to downgrade it to XP.

Any good suggestion?

I have created an Excel worksheet, I have already identify the lock cells and everything. I then go to Tools/Protection/Protect Sheet, set a password. OK, now everything works exactly the way I wantd it. My question is, now, how can I save this Protection to send this worksheet to someone else so that they can only change the cells that are not lock and cannot mess with the cells I specify as lock? I try saving it but it won't let me save unless I unprotect the sheet, well, if I unprotect the sheet and save it, i'm not saving the protection. If I just set the protection and quit without saving, then as if the protection setting never exist...

I worded previous wrong. I know how to add 45 days. DUH. My question is:
If one date is 9/1/07 and the second date is 10/16/07. In the third cell, I want it to say YES or NO if those dates are within 45 days of each other.
IF they are past 45 days...I want the formula to say NO.

Hi everyone! Does anyone here know anything about ruckus player? I use ruckus player to get all of my music, but as most people know, their files are anti-sharing. I cant transfer the music i get on there to my mp3 player or anything. Anyone know any software that unlocks ruckus files-free ones would be nice. THANKS!

I got a new laptop yesterday that runs on Windows Vista. I was very hesitant at first with Vista because I've heard so many negative things, but I wanted to give it a chance anyway. I spent 5 hours last night trying to get everything transfered over and wanted to pull my hair out. Windows Vista is the most confusing thing in the world to me because I've been a strict Windows XP girl for the past however many years.

Is there a way that I can delete Windows Vista from my laptop and go back to Windows XP? I believe that I have a Windows XP setup disc from my old computer. Can I pop that into my laptop and go from there or will that mess up the whole thing even more?

I've had Norton, McAfee and hate em' both..they slow down my pc so bad...what is the best, cheapest and fastest? Need some help friends...I loved my new laptop until I updated my current McAfee..now it's sooooo slow..I'm ready for a change.

Ive taken some 'practice' film footage on my mobile and uploaded them on to the computer. However i cant seem to get them on windows movie maker... Is this possible?

it plays other burnt dvds the white ones from illusion but i tried playing one from magnum and its not playing. what could be wrong. i'm getting a laptop today and i'm afraid it has the same problem i'd really appreicate any real help. thanks much

Whoever answer this question definately have to walk me through it step by slow step. So far I have downloaded the new yahoo messenger skins and I have installed winzip. But, I totally get confused from that point on. I do not know where to go to put the files into the C Programs/yahoo/messenger/skins part. This is strange but the ones I saved in my documents work fine. Does anyone know why I cannot open new docs sent to me? This is weird and I can't figure it out. I called a person at the computer store and they told me I should buy a new version of Excel because mine is from 1997. It worked a few weeks ago on new docs sent to me but it doesn't open up new files now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I just downloaded the trial version of Microsoft Office 2007 home and student and all the features are locked. What's the use of downloading the product if all you can do is look at it? Am i doing something wrong? I thought it would be fully functionable until my 60 days were up.
