I know its a DVD, but my desktop does not read DVD. Do I need a dvd driver or something. If so, where can I download it.

Just insert the disk in the drive and shut down. When your computer starts to boot up again you should be getting the installation menu.

Hi. Windows Vista is distributed on DVD.

Yes you would need a DVD drive! I think you can call MS and they can ship it out in CD formate. (I assumed you paid for your Vista).

But if your machine doesn't have a DVD drive, I wonder if your system is ready for Vista! Probably not.
