I was typing a document as when I went to save it, the file type was under template to overwrite the Normal Template which is a blank document. Now every time I open a word document all my information that I typed on the previous document opens because it is set to Normal. How can I fix this problem without using system restore.

Hi, i want to make a picture of a white chihuaua with leopard-pattern fur. so i put the spot on the leopard skin and then draw on the chihuaua, but it looks really heavy, and you can't see the lines of the dog's fur. how can i change the opacity of the clone stamp tool so that the pattern is less strong? thanks

Yeah, I know that when I go through Start -> All Programs -> Mozilla Firefox I see both the normal and the Safe-Mode start ups.
But regardless of which one I click on and run, it still goes into Safe-Mode. Basically I just want to turn it off, mostly so i can use my add-ons, but for other bothersome reasons too.

What do I do to turn it off, disable it, or switch back to my normal firefox??

help!?

I have a new computer now with windows vista. My old coputer is XP pro. Can I take the Microsoft office off of my old computer and put on my new one some how? If so how? Do I have to buy it again?

i am doing a game, a car has to be drag through a coarse and not touch the barriers.

I read an interesting article indicating the XP SP3 improves MS Office performance by 10% while Vista SP1 has no performance improvement. Any beta testers out there know if this performance difference applies to non-MS applications too?

I have several PCs and my entire family plays World of Warcraft on them. The oldest PC (about 6 years old - AMD Athlon 3000XP, 1GB RAM, ATI RADEON Pro 9000 ) runs XP and keeps up with the newest PCs (three of them @ less than 3 months old - AMD X2 3600+, 1GB RAM, nVidia 8600GT) running Vista. I'm actually surprised at times how much game lag I see on the newer PCs given the increased hardware specs. Does Windows XP out perform Vista enough to make it the strongest competitor to Windows Vista?

I took some photos on a digital SLR at maximum resolution. These won't open on Microsoft Photo Editor because they are too large. Can I reduce the size in any way? Would need to do so outside Photo Editor, since I can't open the pictures.
I have been able to open these pictures with Internet Explorer, but can't print them properly... only the top left hand corner comes into the print view, and that's all that will print. Is there any way I can get Internet Explorer to print these in full? I've been in Page Set-Up and in the Print... tabs, but can't find anything that causes the full picture to display for printing (in Print Preview).
As a result of inability to open in Photo Editor, and to change print set-up in Internet Explorer, I have been unable to print these pictures, which is what I want to do... can you help?

When I open up Word (2003), the cursor is at the very top of the blank page. It used to be like 5 of 6 spaces down to start my letter... what happened to my settings? I set the margins for the left to right.. but how do I set the margins for top and bottom and keep it that way so everytime I open Word the blank page looks the same?

Within the last couple of days, a gray box pops up amost after every screen I click on. It says M.I.E. has encountered problems and will shut down and asks me to send (or) not send a report. I click "to send" and it comes right back up. How do I get rid of this annoying little gray box?

I guess I just need some general knowledge about the 64 bit edition. I've read that it had driver problems all the same as Vista does now, though the article was dated back in 2005. Other than the increase of ram that I can use, is it worth switching to this at all and is windows xp professional x64 a better choice than Vista?

our instructor e-mailed this presentation to us and he said that we must edit it for our report. when I opened it, microsoft powerpoint said that The presentation cannot be edited because it contains a read-only embedded font. i want to know how he did it..anyone knows? and also, is there any other way to copy the text in the presentation and then i'll paste it in Word? i think it's not possible but i still want to know if there's a way.

When I shut down Edgy Efty, the computer doesn't shut down by itself. I have to turn it off manually. Is this not a feature in Ubuntu?

well if your wondering what the problem is here it is:

my computer restarts by itself automatically and it freezes, crashes, etc..so that is the problem and I usually only go on the computer for 1 hour..so please help & thanks ;)

another thing that happened was that my computer restarted by itself , it logged of & restarted..strange ey? and when the computer freezes it makes a sound which dosn't stop and it seems to come from the hard drive
sometimes when my computer freezes the computer has a line that is sort of greenish-blueish...

In other words, Alot of times when somebody wants to download a video clip , they waste alot of time saving the video only after viewing it they realize they didnt really want that video or it is not the video they thought they were downloading.

I want some software that will enable me to just download like a small portion of a video clip without having to wait to download the whole clip. Right now I don't have a choice, if I want to see any portion of a video clip, I have to wait to download the whole video clip before I can even see it. I want to preview or just save the first 10 seconds (for example) of a larger video clip without having to download the whole clip?

Why do email programs like Outlook and Thunderbird store emails the way they do in unfriendly formats in strange locations on my hard drive. What I mean is, why doesn't each program act more like word processors and create a Outlook (or) Thunderbird Emails folder in My Documents, with each email an individual clickable file that opens the program, and a folder structure that mirrors the folder tree found in each program?

I have a picture in a book that I wanted to scan and put on a t-shirt. The problem is the picture is too small to fill up the front of a t-shirt. I tried blowing it up using a software program, but the pic just gets blurry. Is there a way to make a picture larger without losing the quality or it getting blurry?

I have 2 installed games that I am not able to remove (call of duty 1 and united offensive) I would like to reinstall them, but I can even get rid of them. Some places on my computer say the programs do not exist, but when I insert the disk, thinking I can install them, the only option available is uninstall. I go to add/remove programs, but the error message "INSTALL.log does not exist" shows up for CoD1, and UO starts to open the intall shield, but stops halfway through. I have tried deleting the programs, and even done system restores. Nothing works. I am totally lost. I just want to wipe the programs off my computer. If there is a program (hopefully free) that I can use to get rid of the programs, I would like to know. Thanks in advance!
