Yeah, I know that when I go through Start -> All Programs -> Mozilla Firefox I see both the normal and the Safe-Mode start ups.
But regardless of which one I click on and run, it still goes into Safe-Mode. Basically I just want to turn it off, mostly so i can use my add-ons, but for other bothersome reasons too.

What do I do to turn it off, disable it, or switch back to my normal firefox??

help!?

If you want to run in safe mode, then the command line is:

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

Your shortcut on your menu for safe mode should look like that (which from what you say it probably does)

For normal Firefox just omit the -safe-mode

Try running the command from the run dialog box either with or without the complete path. Both should start FF in normal mode.

If that works, check the properties of the your normal shortcuts and fix as needed or create a new shortcut on your desktop if you don't have one.

If you right click on the Task Bar (at the bottom of the screen) you can start Task Manager. Click on the Processes tab. Then click on the CPU label and click on "Show processes from all users". This should show all the current processes and the percent of time each uses the CPU. You may find there is a process which is running all the time and using a lot of the CPU time. Sometimes some AntiVirus programs can hog the CPU. Norton (Symantec) does this sometimes. If you don't recognise a bad process name use Google.
