I guess I just need some general knowledge about the 64 bit edition. I've read that it had driver problems all the same as Vista does now, though the article was dated back in 2005. Other than the increase of ram that I can use, is it worth switching to this at all and is windows xp professional x64 a better choice than Vista?

Most users would say to stay away from Vista since it appears to be slower on all accounts and has some usability issues.

Win XP 64 will not give you any boost in speed or performance since there are very few applications that are optimized for it yet (if ever).

Suggest you stick with what you have and save your money until something comes along with a proven benefit.

sixty 4 bit professional vs 32 bit professional..the sixty 4 bit is swifter, even if the 32bit is extra compatable and has extra obtainable drivers. XPPro organization ed..vs XPPRO..the version is contained in the licensing. Microsoft has 2 styles of licenses..in line with server and in line with seat. A in line with seat license is purely solid on one computing gadget...(XP professional) The organization version, even if, is probable a in line with server license, a lot extra severe priced, and may be put in on better than one computing gadget.
