I need to type in the initials TEH but the Auto Correct function keeps changing it to THE??? Help!

Try this,
Stop automatic corrections
On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options.
To prevent all automatic corrections, on the AutoCorrect tab, clear the Replace text as you type check box.
To prevent specific corrections, clear the corresponding check box for the option.

You should be able to go to the Tools menu and open the Options. In those pages you will find the Auto correct settings.
