can i set up outlook 2007 to virus scan incoming messages if so how do i set it up?

Most of your anti virus software will have an add-in for outlook and perform the scan automatically. If you put outlook on after your AV you may want to reinstall the AV program just to make sure the add-on installs correctly.

The settings to scan your email would be in your antivirus program, not in Outlook.
