I am writing a book .The book is written in word. The publisher wants the typed material in Pagemaker. How can I do that?
Is there free pagemaker templates available online?

Yes.
To the best of my recollection PageMaker will be able to convert the Word file.
You do this using the File ->Place command.
This will "load" the cursor with the entire text, just be sure to hold the SHIFT key down when you click in the PageMaker document to "flow" all the text and create as many pages as needed for the entire document.
