I want to know if there is any way to get vista-like stuff on XP, like gadgets, vista start menus, etc.

Is it possible or available for download?

There are some adjustments and free programs you can installed to make Windows XP look and work like Vista. And, I stress Vista-like not Vista. Please read PC World Magazine's article:

"Make Windows XP Act Like Vista
In less than an hour, these freebies can transform XP into an ersatz Vista." -- written by Steve Bass (http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,128537-page,1/article.html)

I've successful used some of the freewares mentioned in the article. Don't expect a drastic upgrade.

Easy. Get Vista Theme software, often available Free from
some Freeware companies. It would appear as you are
using Vista, without incurring the cost of upgrading.

About gadgets and applications like that, that's not a problem, just downloading some applications. The look and feel, I mean the way the buttons look like, the icons, etc, is also achievable if you use for example WindowsBlinds. The cool thing about this software is that you can also make it look like a Mac or even crazier themes. Something I suggest though is to have enough memory because WindowsBlinds consumes about 100mb. The only problem is that you would have to pay for it.

Good luck.

Get an upgrade and browse the cd. I don't think you want Vista, though. I upgraded my XP based computer, hated it, and finall got it out of my system.
