i have windows 98.i want to upgrade to 98se.how can i do this? i have searched for a down load cd at the local malls but no one carries this.will i have to purchase a new tower?

No, you'll need a 98SE Upgrade or Installation disk; some PC shops may have them, if not you could def find it online on Ebay or Amazon.

You will need a disk, 98 is no longer supported so there will not be any downloads. A machine running 98 is unlikely to work well on XP, which needs much more in the way of machine resources. You could also try for a Windows 2000 upgrade, this works well on older machines. It has most of the facilities of XP.

Much better to upgrade to XP, Win98 is very prone to malware and is now relatively unsafe to use on the internet.

If you really want Win98 Se then go to e-bay

I don't see an upgrade to se though it may be buried somewhere, what i have found is a possible upgrade for you to XP.
