This is the secound time i get a email saying i won a lottery money and that i will receive a check , but that first i have to sent almost 2,000 in tax fees . I now it has to be a scam for a fact . But has anyone ever sent the money , and nows that it is 100% a scam?????? and have they try to find aout who is in back of these scams?

im wondering if you look at porn on google images, and you click a picture, is that the same as being on that picture's site? because some sites may have viruses. Also if you search for porn on something like Altavista search engine and you watch videos there can that give u viruses too?

The virus is always going to yourgift.com on Win XP. AVG can't get it out. An ad comes saying you can get rid of it for a fee. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Sorry for not putting all the info last time. ok i downloaded AVG from download.com, after it downloaded i installed it and updated it,i had norton AV on the whole time it downloaded and when it installed, after i ran the first scan with avg then i turned off norton and uninstalled it( i did not know u could only run 1 AV at a time).I would just like to know if my AVG is fine (nothing wrong with it since i had norton on when i installed it).

can the same kind of virus infect linux and windows? or does it have to be a completely different code to infect the other?

ex.. if someone wrote a virus to infect a windows system, if that same virus was unleashed in linux will it have the same effect?

I was using the internet, and spyshredder window popped up, and so did Novell (is this antivirus?). I then pressed control alt delete, and then cancel, and the spyshredder and novell window disappeared. Is this okay or is my computer infected?

To all yahoo & ebay users: be aware of nigerians using yahoo email to bid on ebay etc. This Yahoo user "Serah Clement [serahclement02@yahoo.com]" is a Nigarian scam!!!

Yahoo does'nt allow anyone directly reporting the abuse of their site - bad, very bad security!!!

Pop up comes from "Registry Cleaner" and wont stop asking me to download and install. When i've tried my spy ware blocks it so I know its not good and yet it still wont stop asking.

i uninstalled macafee then installed avg coz my macafee was outdated and then i came across avg. they said avg reliable and free so i installed avg. after unistalling macafee, my firewall was switched off. then i went to security center tried to switch on it said due to unidentified problem it cannot be switched on. now i don have a firewall. is it bcoz i installed avg or is it a virus that has disabled firewall? also i am typing this question juz after i have done this process. is it bcoz i have not restarted my com yet? plz help!!!!!!!!!
