Security - September 2007

When I turn it on. It says that something has been downloaded, and its trying to protect the files. then it gives me two options to try and start up Windows. Neither worked. I can't get my windows started at all. What Do I Need To Do??????

Hi on norton security since yesterday i have been getting a security warning flashing red about a security intrusion it keeps coming up every second and i cant stop it i have gone into the settings to try and stop this it says its 127.0.0.1 http lop toolbar activity attack im wondering is it because there has been a webcam installed yesterday aswell any ideas how i can stop these alerts flashing up all the time many thanks in advance

I have a mac and i accidently turned on something called airport wireless connection. I dont know how to turn it off. It seems to be slowing down my internet. If it is not the airport and it is a virus, are there any virus sweepers for the Mac OS X? If there is any other explanation, please explain.

Apparently he could view and hear everything I did on line. He could see my bank details and view my conversations as I was writing them even. He could view my conversations with a friend on a chat site, so he was able to see whatever I did on the net.
Although I changed my passwords, he still seemed to be able to read everything I was doing. I beleive he diverted outgoing mail addresed to a friend, to himself instead, if thats possible. I am sure that he somehow took over that email address and was writing to me, pretending to be my friend.
And I did not receive alot of the mails my friend said he had sent me. I once had a message saying that a remote device was trying to gain access to my computer. I have also had a message saying that I could not log into my account, because it was already in use from another device.
I am not technical at all, and would so appreciate if someone could tell me in simple terms, what I should do to ensure that my ex can no longer spy on me.Thank you

We have a PC that we have been using for years. I just purchased a laptop and am logging in through our wireless connection. My fiancé has spied on me before using a key logger. Can he use a key logger to see what I do on my wireless computer? If so how can I find out if he is doing this?

Well my mom said that while she was on this computer something popped up about spyware and she clicked it off because she knows about nothing about spyware and stuff. I do recall opening these e-mails from Coca-Cola saying I won $500,000 but it really wasn't from Coca-Cola just someone trying to be Coca-Cola. And from Shell Corp. [The gas station] saying something about family member dieing in a plane crash. SO HERES A WARNING TO PEOPLE: DON'T OPEN ANY OF THOSE E-MAILS THEIR SPYWARE LIKE I GOT!

But How do I get it off? Please, I need help. What does spyware on your computer do to your computer and how can I get it off? I don't go on and bad websites (I'm only ten). So I don't know.

Demonoid comes up with the following message;
