When I turn it on. It says that something has been downloaded, and its trying to protect the files. then it gives me two options to try and start up Windows. Neither worked. I can't get my windows started at all. What Do I Need To Do??????

If you can enter your system through "Safe Mode", do so and then run your anti virus and anti spyware software.

To enter Safe Mode, start your computer and while it is starting, tap the F8 key until you get the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" Use the navigation key to move up to "Safe Mode" and then hit enter.

Insert windows xp CD and when you get install windows click on repair windows.

Try going into safe mode and do a system restore.

Call your tech support. Sounds like a virus.

i think you may have to reinstall Windows. That is all I could do, or go to the recovery procedure.
