Just a couple of side notes that may be of help.
When Peter Norton developed his Anti Virus Software it was in fact the best anywhere. After he sold the company to Symantec there problems began and have progressively went downhill and now are considered by many to be one of the worst. Like many of the others they have moved there support to India. I really don't have to comment on this mistake.
You can get 10 times the performance and security from several Freeware or Shareware Software's.
Norton and McAfee place so much on your computers it almost makes them useless. It appears they have opted for$$$$$$$$$$$ over performance and stability.
It appears by all outward signs that many of these Buisnesses have been gobbled up and then are replacing there tech support folks for cheaper labor thus allowing them to make more money. The bottom line here is they could care less as long as the money keeps pouring in.

as others have stated Norton slows down your computer to a crawl. uninstall and google AVG free anti-virus and free Zonealarm firewall and use those instead. I have used them both for years and never had a problem. but whatever you decide ditch norton, it is not worth the hassle. all the best.

I gave up trying to get in touch with Norton , thereby losing six months of my subscription . Since then I have been using Avast which is much faster and free.
