Apparently he could view and hear everything I did on line. He could see my bank details and view my conversations as I was writing them even. He could view my conversations with a friend on a chat site, so he was able to see whatever I did on the net.
Although I changed my passwords, he still seemed to be able to read everything I was doing. I beleive he diverted outgoing mail addresed to a friend, to himself instead, if thats possible. I am sure that he somehow took over that email address and was writing to me, pretending to be my friend.
And I did not receive alot of the mails my friend said he had sent me. I once had a message saying that a remote device was trying to gain access to my computer. I have also had a message saying that I could not log into my account, because it was already in use from another device.
I am not technical at all, and would so appreciate if someone could tell me in simple terms, what I should do to ensure that my ex can no longer spy on me.Thank you

I was wondering who is your connection?
if it is aol i would get rid of them ASAP they have the most problems I had them years and years ago ex: when they first came out
My text would disappear when I was talking to my sister on messager and alot of other nasty things happened my computer.
I will never have them again

Suggestion would be to completely format your computer with a licensed agent which means getting rid of everything on your computer still an easier way is to just get a new hard drive and trash the old...

and get rid of your lan line if you have one

I hope you solve your problem I know how you feel

Good luck

They have one of three possible programs installed on your computer. They have installed a keylogger program whicch records every key stroke a transmits it to another computer, or they have a VNC program running on your computer. This is a program that allow someone to observe or take over another computer over a LAN or the internet. That is a legit program used by computer tech mainly to service computers from remote locations.
The last is Microsoft's Remote Desktop. This is a service that is much like VNC and allows someone to remotely take control of a computer.

I would start by disabling MS Remote Desktop.

Even if this appears to work I would use the link I have listed below to insure you do not have any other programs or services on your computer that can remotely acces it.

Good luck.

It's hard to really know if anyone is really hacking into your computer or not but if someone is the first place I'd go is to the police. That stuff is bad.
