1) You don't use a firewall
2) You don't use antivirus
3) You have high speed internet and never shut your system down

usually if u have been hacked they will kill your system
say i hack you
i go looking for sensative data
then i go to your windows folder
delete 2 files
the next time you try to boot up your system
it does not fire up
other hackers like to toy with you
make ya cd drawer open
change clock time
move mouse
turn on ya camera
most of that is trojan controlled

It can be very hard to find traces of intrusion. Did you check the log files? Then again, if you don't see any evidence, maybe they didn't get in.
Change all passwords regularly, change your wireless encryption key. Disable unused modems, phone lines, network ports.

You can get help online with that, try looking on Microsoft and also i have it through Bt they can run a scan on your computer and give you a detailed report of how and if someone can access your computer they can also help you secure it. *hugs* xxx
