I was sure there was something out there that will print history, so I was astonished at the number of sites that assure us that it is difficult to get rid of the history, but almost nothing to help you save it. Everybody's trying to get rid of the evidence. What does CSI use?
I went to the url listed below and downloaded the free history viewer. It works, and will save history to a file, even history that happened before I downloaded it. can save cookies, too.
Good Luck!

You can copies different files that indicate were some one has been on your computer. Here is how:
In Internet Explorer
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu.
3. Click the General, Under Temporary Internet Files, Click Settings.
4.Click View Files
Search from the list of files adult content, cookies, search files and viewed websites.
But if you want to record detailed information such as chat logs, emails and viewed website. You should install a internet history monitor on your computer. This will even take snap shots and videos of the internet use. Even if he tries to erase the data the program will save it. This information can be stored, saved and emailed. The best software that is easy to install and runs silently is what you should get. The link below will show you what features to look for when
choosing. Hope this helps!

There are a number of utilities that can do what you want, but they are not all free. Some are better than others.
A free one, that is a bit limited but will do what you want is "Computer History Viewer"
It lets you save the history, index file, and program names that were run from the start menu, recent documents, autocomplete passwords, cookies etc as files that you can read with other programs such as MSWORD.
Open the file in MSWORD. Then to open a link, move the cursor to the end of web link and hit the enter key.
If you did it right, the entire link will turn blue, and then you can click it (while pressing the control "CTRL" key)
If you are online, the site should open.
Get it from www.download.com
its Free !
See the link attached below
To re-run the program, it creates an icon on your desktop.
So you wont find it in the start menu.
You should move the icon, or the next user may notice the program.
On your desktop, drag the icon to a folder that is already on your desktop, to get it out of view.

Well, first off, delete or disable any tracking devices they have on the computer (any device that shows what keys have been pressed) if they have any. Next, download IE7. I can get a complete list of pages I've ever visited on any browser before IE7, but I can't get anything on IE7. Or you could reinstall your internet browser. Delete your browsing history as much as possible, and change the setting on your internet browser to NOT keep the sites you've visited logged in your history (tools, internet options, general browsing history settings). It's also a good idea to delete your favorites on anything that might get you in trouble. Next, go to internet options and disable Auto-complete (internet options, content, autocomplete). Also, if possible, System restore back as far as you can and change the settings to match your current ones. Then do what I explained above. If you can't disable the tracking programs without a password, go to my computer, program files (generally in C Drive) and delete the files directly, or use the add/remove program on your computer to do that.

thats a tough question, you really can't save it to a file although that would be a nice feature. i guess you could always take a snap shot of the history and save that. you would click on history located on the toolbar, then open the date up and hold shift while pressing print screen next to f12. then you right click desktop, click new and click bitmap, from there you right click it then click edit and press ctrl plus v or right click once it's open and select paste. click file and save as jpeg. then burn that to a disc with other things you may want to save.
1) click history
2) open the date up you want
3) expand it so you can see all sites
4) press shift plus print screen by f12
5) right click desktop selecting new
6) select bitmap image
7) right click it then click edit
8) right click and paste pic
9) click file and save as
10) save as jpeg
11) burn that to disk
you can not view files and save them due to the fact alot of sights will have porn pics included and that is not guarenteed way of saving those types of things. anyone can argue that anything can get in there without the user knowing wich is true. delete files then visit a few legit sites go back and look through files i'll bet you'll find porn or provacotive pics that were placed there frm legit sites. it's like advertising.

Take your computer to a professional or have one out to your home or office. Doing so will not only result in the proper saving of important evidence but will establish another witness if necessary.
If your discovery involves illegal activities however you are morally bound to report it to the police and any reputable computer professional will do the same.

I'm not sure what information it is you are trying to save. But if you use your mouse to highlight it then press Ctrl and C at the same time that usually works to copy. You can then open up a text program like Notepad and paste what you have copied. Then save this to a file which you can put on a disk. I hope this works.
