We have to change our passwords every 3 months at the office. Passwords are case sensitive. Our passwords and logins are recorded in the main office by our tech service. I think, if you want to know exactly how they are recorded via machine language, you will have to get a degree in computer science.

That's called a key logger, and can sent personal info to third parties. You better run a good anti virus. And changing you password won't work as long as you have the key logger cause it will keep recording your keystrokes.

I change my passwords every 90 days. At least 12 characters and I use symbols (~!@#), numbers, and both upper and lower case letters (AaBbCc).
Example: ~123#MyPassWord$
