What's a good firewall to use with Windows Vista? Freeware?

she has a protection problem. it says detection signature file is between 8 & 29 days old. she goes to fix , it tells her it's fixed but the warning still comes up on the tray. does anyone know what this is. i've never heard of it before.

is Norton antivirus good ? Somebody say kapersky is better .....and norton very slow ..... is that real ?

I am just wondering, BUT I WILL NOT DO IT! But do hackers need to go first in college to acquire adequate skill in computer and thus they can manage to hack? Can a young child able to hack on his own? Cuz I'v heard a 17-year old boy being caught hacking and they jailed him. And I'v also heard of a job where you can be an ethical hacker...

Guys, Please help me to open this word file, I work for this project for more than year before. Now i need it back i forgot the password. I try my best donwloading all the softwares in the internet. but no use... Atlease if i can the text in the file, i can reformat it... oh no... I feel very bad... I dont know what to do...

Yahoo gives you the link to "Scan and save to computer". G-Mail just links to "Download" with no apparent option to scan....unless you "Download all Attachments", save them to the desktop and then "manually" scan them. So does G-Mail "pre-scan" or is it a more labor intensive e-mail provider??????? Other options in G-Mail????

well, my computer has so much junk and stuff, it's slowing my computer down. So how do you delete the memory from the computer?Like deleting the memory from the disk. I want to delete everything. Like make it brand new. Making it almost as if it has never been used before? Is that possible? Any suggestions would great.

Right!!!! Thats it!!! I am fed up of Norton 2007 and am starting to think whether I should uninstall it and replace it with another internet security such as Windows Live One Care or something similar.
Anyone got any ideas and also do you think that Norton should be chucked off my computer???

I was downloading a VB 6 when AVG detected two threats : both are Trojan horse Dropper.Generic.DZD. It was in a folder and I deleted the folder manually (not using AVG). I still see the files in AVG Virus Vault, what should i do to get rid of the files ? When I click the file details, in source it says backup copy, what does this mean ? If I delete those two files using AVG Virus Vault, will this make my system safe ? Please help me....
