I've got a problem lately with websites popping up regardless of the site I go on. I have Norton Antivirus from yahoo, and it's removed 2 trojans so far. I also have McAfee firewall and Advanced Spyware remover, which I run every day. The websites that pop up are mostly Bonus.com, Netster.com, and something for the Transformers movie. I think it may be a trojan, but they pop up even after Norton says it's removed. Do I need a new antivirus or firewall?

I never did think a virus program could be too protective, but this time Spy ware blocked me from using Thunderbird. Where would I put the exclusion for the program and how?

I am worried about viruses. I know that file sharing can infect computers. All of the files that I am importing to itunes are mp3 files. Can they contain viruses? Can people write viruses into song files? On my new mac I only get songs from the itunes store, but I have been importing the songs from my old PC that I had downloaded from the net. Please explain to me if this has the potential to hurt my new Mac. Thanks, Tyler

I've run adaware and spybot countless times in safe mode and cant shake it. There are 7 items that I cant kill. Im on the verge of wiping out my whole system to get rid of this and starting all over. There doesn't seem to be anything out there that can specifically get rid of WIN.Agent-gen.cws. Any ideas?

A friend recently installed a McAfee Total Protection software product & accepted all the options. When she then tried to access the internet following this she was unable to (using BT Broadband). I have previously found that McAfee Firewall can be a bit of a death trap and generally ditch it & just use the Win XP Firewall. HOWEVER - she uninstalled & reinstalled McAfee & since then the whole PC has died - GUIs not displaying (not just McA), programs stalling & never coming back...
We got a semblance of order and she can now reach the internet BUT - she has no AV (McAfee will neither install nor uninstall) and the Win Firewall does NOT show up in the Security Centre - SO - does anyone know if I can find the Win Firewall as an executable anywhere? Happy to mess in registry, Services etc. but not familiar with this precise item!
Hope you can help!!
