I've run adaware and spybot countless times in safe mode and cant shake it. There are 7 items that I cant kill. Im on the verge of wiping out my whole system to get rid of this and starting all over. There doesn't seem to be anything out there that can specifically get rid of WIN.Agent-gen.cws. Any ideas?

There is no need to reformat your pc. You can run an inhouse scanner from Kaspersky, Russia rated # 1, in the world for detecting viruses.

If you know the actual name of the virus, you can go to the symantec site to get the virus removal tool. It will be an individual exe file that does not require the installation of the antivirus.

Try getting avast anti-virus at http://www.avast.com , updating it, and then running a boot-time scan.
