I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following link. http://www.computeractive.co.uk/ On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps.

tell u something interesting...
do not buy antivirus at all thats my opinion...
i used to use it for many ears.. but i still had viruses on my pc..
so its like 3 years i stoped using antivirus...
what i found out was.:
1. antivirus is not protecting you proprrly from viruses it just eats LOTS AND LOTS of your memory and CPU...
2. if u have a virus in yor pc antivirus will delete it but ur Windows Will Be Crashed n e way just beacues u had virus...
3. and finaly the firewall thing called it blockes everithing. anoing thing...
without antivirus:
1. u have good fast PC.
2. ur not protected from viruses or hackers. but they wont be able to finde you if you dont install in your pc virus... wich could be found on porn sites and dodgy websites...
3. dont go to this sites and you will have healthy system fast and reliable...

antivirus and all this internet security is for suckers. you will have to spend 60 £ every year for nothing...
GOOD TIP: instead of internet explorer use firefox...
once i have started using firefox i never had n e viruses...
and i have not instaleed n e antivirus after...
so as you wish : BUY it or no it up to you..
but i worned you it will slow you pc down. and its gonnabe nightmare to use it.. and you will hate ur pc....

Trend used to come with cheap computers a few years back, I remember it being pretty nasty myself.

AVG is my fave anti virus software, works well and doesn't slow your computer down as much as the dreaded Norton.

Why buy one when you can have AVG anti virus for free. Also you can download Zone Alarm, it is a free firewall.

Get AVG at: http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/

Get Zone Alarm at: http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/company/products/trial_zaFamily/trial_zaFamily.jsp?lid=home_freedownloads

No, the free versions of ZoneAlarm (firewall) and AVG (virus guard) more than suffice.

Save yourself some money.
