uniblue registry wants 29.95 to clear 404 invalid registry entries on my computer. Is this necessary. Isn't there something on my computer that should do this without ordering anything? I have no idea what the 404 invalid entries are anyway.

hi. i am a student just completed my high school. i am interested in a career in computers security. the prob is that i am quite adept in the field having started at a young age albeit informally. now i m in a loss as to which courses or degrees to opt for, never having paid attention to stuff like this. as far as i know there r two options- bca and bsc(computers). what is the diff b/w the two nd which one is suitable for me. i m primarly interested in network adminstration and stuff. please suggest.

I have Uninstalled the Norton Anti Virus thru Add/Remove Program. I also run the Norton Removal Tool. But still I can see traces of Norton in my Drive C. The Folder name is Addon (which is 107 MB) and it contains six subfolders.
Should I delete this Folder to get rid of Semantec (Norton) Traces?

seems to be getting slower and slower ( no additional programme saved in it ) probably due to accumulation of new/un-arrested viruses. What could be done to correct this problem ? Any good free antivirus (apart from AGV ) that may help ?

I am taking an on line class thru a local university, and need my computer! these ads keep popping up, I did the block all pop up thing, and still they come. also COMMERCIALS!!! blaring out of my speakers. I was late with a 5 minute quiz tonight becauseof all this,only got an 85 because I wasn't able to complete it. there are hair color ads coming out of my speakers, and all kinds of crazy ads popping up. I am desperate, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well the good news is that I found the name of the Trojan Horse. It's Generic Adclicker.d. Plus I found some two other infections in my computer like Downloader-ABJ and Adware-BJCFD.

The bad news is that I don't know what kind of removal tools to use to get rid of them.

I did a virus scan on yahoo's free pc scanners and it saids that my c:\WINDOWS\browser.exe is infected with Trojan Horse but it doesn't say what kind of trojan horse since there are thousands listed on the net.

All I want to know is how do I safely remove it myself since I don't know what kind of trojan horse it has.
