Because your computer is trying to prevent you from engaging in an illegal act. You should thank it by purchasing more memory and a kick-butt HD2900 graphics card for it.
Seriously, though...If the server isn't up, you can't download. If the file is locked or missing you can't download.
You might want to rent, or buy the movie. If you've purchased it from a legitimate on-line site and it is not downloading, contact their customer service department.

You said you were downloading 2 films. That's a lot of data to download dude. And if you are using dial up it is going to take a long time. Even satellite net service would take some time.

Try downloading one at a time and watch the first whilst downloading the 2nd.
Assuming you are at a legitimate download site then you may need to contact the suport department for that site. Cancel the existing downloads and try starting again.

When u download something it is downloaded from a source/server. When the source is down one wouldn't be able to download from it and thus the transfer rate would be
0 kb/s. U must wait for the source to come back on or find another source to download from.

If your using share ware check to see what you are uploading , or what people are downloading from your com .
To many uploads stops you downloading .
