Unless you bought it and therefore have to use mcAffee i would just uninstall it. Avast antivirus is free and will do a much better job

Mcafee is one of the best antivirus i ever using!! the best way is uninstall and reinstall it!! there might be corruption and need to install back and update it!!

uninstall it.......restart......make sure all programs are turned off make sue that if you have other virus protection uninstall it make sure every thing is off than reinstall
