If you prefer not to pay and wish to have a free antivirus program download the free AOL Active Virus Shield, powered by Karpersky engine Russia.

A2Squard Malware out of Austria. Download their free version and you will be protected from, rogue dialers, worms, malware, keyloggers, trace spyware and rouge cookies.

AdAware SE Personal out of Sweden. This antispyware company has been around since computers became commerical. In June of this year they will come out with a brand new version. Right now it is beta testing. Download their free home for personal use. http://www.lavasoft.com

There are several good Free Anti-spyware/adware tool for you:
spybot search and destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org
AVG anti-spyware: http://www.grisoft.com
Top 5 anti-spywares: http://www.anti-spywares.info
You can download and scan your computer for free.
P.S.:Make sure you have 1 or 2 antispyware on your computer and 1 antivirus and also 1 firewall.

After its updated select the “Immunize” icon, click on the green + to immunize your system. This will help prevent any new spyware/malware infestation by blocking new items. THIS MUST BE REDONE AFTER EVERY UPDATE SO THAT YOU ARE PROTECTED AGAINST THE LATEST THREATS.

After updating go to the main screen click the “Scan now” button, this will take you to a screen that says “Select a scan mode:”, select "Customize" and check "Scan within archives" then "Proceed".
