I am taking an on line class thru a local university, and need my computer! these ads keep popping up, I did the block all pop up thing, and still they come. also COMMERCIALS!!! blaring out of my speakers. I was late with a 5 minute quiz tonight becauseof all this,only got an 85 because I wasn't able to complete it. there are hair color ads coming out of my speakers, and all kinds of crazy ads popping up. I am desperate, any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can take following steps-
1.turn off the speaker.
2.use google toolbar in your web brouser (it will stop pop-ups).
3.use mozilla firefox, or
4.if you use internet explorer,go to tools>internet options>privacy.Therer is a settig bar.move it to medium high.
--also delete cookies from decuments and settings folder.
5.Use avg anti spyware 7.5. get it's serial from www.serials.ws.
or
6.use ad watch professional edition.

I recommend running yahoo antispy to remove most of the spywear that causes those ads. If that doesn't work, try turning the volume off unless you need it for the class.

Yup, Spybot Search & Destroy is great, so is Adaware and one from Moosoft. Micro$oft's Windows Defender. AVG is great free antivirus. Hop to it or the infection will nail you. Back up data too.
