Security - May 2007

Is there any way that I can just erase EVERYTHING on my computer and just add what I want back on? I want to erase EVERYTHING I can possibly erase, but without doing irreparable damage to the computer. It's just not acting right, and there is SO much stuff I want to get rid of. Also how do I know if the programs are safe to keep, or ones that I need to keep? Please anyone help me!

I get emails everyday stating I won money, or people have some money that they want to give me, but first I need to give them my personal info. I keep telling no, but they will not stop. they keep emailing me, I don't know if this is some sort of gimmick, if it is I wish they would leave me alone, but should I do?

I have windows xp pro in my laptop. I was working for a company and they set it up for their protection, with many security locks.
I have left the company and their TI would not help since I am not their employee anymore.
Is there an easy way to open the xp pro so that it will act as xp ?
Also is there a way to reinstall xp pro without loosing most of my data and programs?

I have a Logitech webcam, and it has performed flawlessly until now. I downloaded McAfee and since then, when I broadcast my image, the other person sees me for about 30 seconds and then the image changes to their camera's input. I've checked the firewall settings in McAfee and ensured both Yahoo IM and the webcam have permissions, but no luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled McAfee...the webcam works great without McAfee. Does anybody have any ideas?

my laptop is infected with somw adware and i removed it succesfully, but even after removing it , i unable to change my pravicy settings, is there any resloution for these, help me plz.

i have tried to change from internet properties>privacy, it is not remaing constant, it goes down after when i closed IE again i have to set the settings, is there any registry settings for this.
