If you ae running Windows XP, you have a built in Firewall. Don't recommend you use, as it is not really a firewall being you only get one way protection from incoming rogue packets. A true firewall will give you two way protection, incoming and protect your data from leaving your pc without your permisson.

Go to start, control panel, security center and turn off the windows firewall. You really need a good free firewall to protect your pc.\

But one should NEVER disable a firewall in order to make a game or some program work, it is a major no-no. Your computer can be attacked or infected with worms and viruses in minutes!
