I suggest you download Ad-Aware SE and Spybot S&D (they’re free), install them, update them and run them. If they don't seem to be able to get rid of everything they report finding, try running them again, this time in Safe Mode. Safe Mode prevents many instances of malware from loading and protecting themselves against deletion of their files. Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there. To get into Safe Mode: 1. Log out and reboot your machine. 2. When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly. 3. Select Safe Mode from the resulting menu. 4. The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different. You won't be able to see the Internet, for instance. You may have to log in as Administrator to delete the bad files. Administrator often has no password. 5. When you're finished, log out and reboot back into normal mode. Update and run both regularly, along with a good anti-virus package. Good luck.

That's some bad malware you have there from what I've seen with a google search. Another Yahoo answer here:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070521182435AA1tiCh
There's a link there to some instructions
(one thing those instructions don't mention doing is shutting off System Restore first. -- the malware can embed itself in a restore point and re-infect your pc. Turning off System Restore will delete all the old restore points. Turn it back on after you get it cleaned off. Right-click on My Computer, select Properties, and check the "Turn off System Restore on all drives" checkbox under the System Restore tab.)

You may have to go through the whole gauntlet of malware removal steps, see:
http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407

The tools you need are all free.

Sound like you have a case of the "spylockware" rogue infecting your PC. Cliams to be a spyware scanner, but it actually a spyware program which hijacks the browser (makes it go their home page) and give false security alerts.

Have successfully removed it using the free Skybot Seek&Destroy program that you can download from http://download.com

open control panel and click on add or delete programs wait till the list populates and see if the security tool bar is listed then delete it. you could just stop using internet explorer and use mozilla firefox as your browser. it is way better and you wont get pop ups. I have been using it for a few years and almost never use IE anymore. you can get it free at http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
