Some free software is adware supported, the adware comes bundled with the software.

In some cases removal of the adware may cause the particular software to stop working.

It is just a warning alerting you to this fact.

It's your choice whether to remove the adware or not

This warning often appears. Worry not. What it means is that if you remove some or one cookie, this may restrict your use of a particular programme which you have downloaded from the Internet.

Look at it like this. Lets say you decide to download a programme which enables you to carry out a particular function on your PC. Included in the downloaded package is a shopping or ad-ware cookie [trackers]. If you delete these, then the programme you want to use may nor or will not operate on your PC.

Yeah! Dirty trick I know. But if it's a programme you've got for free, it's the ad-ware which pays for it. Just have to grin and bear it or dump the lot and try something new.

Advert supported programs, and some malware will warn you not to disable the adverts. They would, wouldn't they! Some programs will quite happily work without the ad-bot, some won't. All you can do is to remove all the ad-bots, and be prepared to re-install a program with its extra bits if something you want fails to work. I have asquared from emisoft.com running and it catches the annoyances as they try to install, so I at least have advance warning of problems
