go to my computer,left click,another page comes up click properties, the second tab says tools right click,another page comes up,rightclick both boxes. It will say you have to restart .so close everything and restart,when it restarts microsoft will scan and fix registry,defrag and fix all errors, it takes about an hour. be patient

If you have a valid key, I would suggest that you first download the program and save to your documents or "C" drive, etc. etc. After you have download Mc Afee, uninstall the program and then reinstall Mc Afee again and update all your signatures.
Problem should go away, as it may be an installation error in one of the modules related to the software.

No, I've never heard of it before either. I would suggest calling McAfee or going to their website to see if this has happened before and how to fix it.

these anti virus things seem to take control but there are a few good ones that just do what they are supposed to do mc affe, isn't one of them .some programmes need more attention than they are worth windows live one care is ok free trial. has worked ok for me so far.
