the processor is amd fx-62 im on stock cooling and i want to break the 3.0GHZ barrier so anyone know of any good coolers im new to this so please help and additional details for overclocking it would be appreciated, thanks

My computer was working fine a few days ago, but when I tried to turn it on yesterday nothing happened. I checked to see if it was plugged in okay and it was. The monitor and the copier which are both hooked up to the same multi plug thing work fine. The fan in the back of the computer also will not work.
Does anyone know what may be wrong? I don't want to spend alot of money to get it fixed, so your input would be greatly appreciated.

Well, i have TDK 4.7GB DVD+R DVDs and my laptop's cd drive is a dual layer CD/DVD burner DVD+R DL, but every time i put a Blank DVD in my computer doesn't recognize it, it recognizes that there is a blank disk in there and prompts me to burn it, but it recognizes it as a cd wit "0mb/0mb free" i think i need to format the DVD's any suggestions?

I need to change the COM port number that my Belkin serial to USB adapter uses. It currently uses COM6, but the program I am using only goes up to COM4. How can I change the COM port number so that it is using COM4 instead of COM6. I am using Windows 98 and nothing is currently assigned to COM4.

however I am very unhappy with the performance of nvidia because the drivers keep crashing the computer and want to switch over to ATI.

I am going to order a dell inspiron 1520 soon and was just curious if i should get the 5400rpm hard drive or spend 50 dollars more and get the 7200rpm drive. Would there be a big difference. I will be doing a decent amount of gaming.

Switched out the power supply w/ a new one only to find out the old one was still good.(by putting it in another computer) So why wont my computer power on. No leaking from the Capacitors, so what else can it be?

I have 2 GB sticks of G-Skill dual channel ddr2 800 RAM (5-5-5-15). 1 GB stick of Patriot ddr2 800 RAM. The setup is as follows:
Slot 0 (yellow): G-Skill
Slot 0 (black): Patriot
Slot 1 (yellow): G-Skill
Slot 1 (black): empty
It says it's not running dual channel. Do I have to change BIOS settings? If so, how?

I have a Dell 2400 my fan went out and I am depertaly trying to find another one to replace it. I have tried to find one on the net but having no luck. it measures 4 inches but all the fans i have found are in mm. the number on the fan is a 9025 12v if that means anything.

I can't upload and download photos from and in to my digital camera using my computer via USB. It was working before but now it doesn't. My computer won't recognize my camera. There is usually a small green arrow in the Taskbar when i plug in my camera but now there isn't. Also, in "My Computer" there is no E: Drive.

Anyone who can give solutions to my problem is appreciated. Also, is there anyway I can open E: Drive or the "New Hardware Found" thingy.

By the way, I'm using a Laptop and a Canon Powershot SD630 Digital Camera.

I am deciding what type of CPU would best suit me for my laptop.... To my knowledge, if i plan to run multiple programs at same time (download off limewire and running a virus check at same time) a Duo Core would be best....but
If i plan on doing 1 task at a time (download off limewire, THEN run a virus check after download is complete) a good ol pentium 4 is best.
Am i correct?
