My computer will not shutdown in the normal way, I have to hold in the "Turn on" button until it goes off, any suggestions or answers for this problem ...... thank you

That's not good to turn-off while not saving the settings. Perhaps it is one of your programs that is running. This happened to me once. McAfee Security Center was still updating.....after a few days, it was still going on. I pressed Control, Alt, Delete....Pressed Processes and selected a McAfee file to stop..,.It worked. You probably have to end a process.....Do what I did. Check your taskbar also. (lower right-hand corner)

I've been having a minor problem recently of my computer not shutting down. It turned out to be a program I recently installed (B.I.D "Bulk Image Downloader" - very useful program) that sometimes has to be shut down manually in the taskbar (the bar at the bottom of the screen) or in Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del).
