you need some more RAM - 256 won't run most of the apps out there now. RAM is cheap these days - find out what your board can take and max it out.
Graphics card - my Alienware machine has an NVidia card in it and you can't really beat an Alienware machine. I have a Radeon in my laptop and it's not shabby either.
But really, you need more RAM dude - bad.

i'm not sure if any of the newer graphics cards support agp. you definitely need a PCIe (PCI express) slot. also, you definitely need to upgrade your ram bigtime. at least 1gb of ram is necessary, and it seems like you're a gamer, so if you can spare some more money, 2gb is a good choice.
try www.newegg.com they sell 1gb ram sticks for pretty cheap, and all their other products are very cheap as well. you can also look for a graphics card there, the prices are very reasonable.

First off, if you can upgrade to at the VERY least 512mb recommend minimum is 1GB. I personally recommend 2GB. For graphics cards, you need a bigger PSU (Power Supply Unit). I think 400w - 500w should do it. I recommend the GeForce 7950GT XXX from XFX. It is blazing fast. It's as fast as a GeForce 8800GTX only not Direct3D 10 compliant. Try www.tigerdirect.com for alot of great deals, plus they will help you find the right part. Hope this helps!

Upgrade the system memory to at least 1GB RAM. Buy the NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS( or GT or GTX) 512MB AGP version, whatever version is available in your vicinity.
