hello all please help, i'm pretty computer savvy but i'm stumped. the missus wants well actually demands we upgrade to vista but i'm having trouble telling her its a 64 bit program there is no point putting it onto a 32 bit machine, my computer is a self build amd sepron 2200 running @ 2g/hz. is my processor a true 64 bit or 32 bit?. i know as a 32 bit processor it can take vista, but it wont operate at its optimum performance. i'm not going to waste my time spending the money on vista and then realising i have to do a full rebuild. i'd rather do it in one go. so is my processor 64 bit or 32 bit? any advice welcomed. thank you.

we have a 3 year old computer. just recently it keeps shutting off and when we turn it back on it works for a while. we took it to geek squad and when the guy checked it he said it could be a memory stick or hard drive issue. it is not over heating but when we picked it up to take it to get checked a crap load of dust fell out. my question is how can I figure what part of my hard drive is corrupt?

I am trying to play Oblivion on my Dell XPS M1210 with the above mentioned video card. However, though NVIDIA claims it is 256 MB, only 64 is dedicated! The rest is shared with my system and as a result, Oblivion runs terribly on my M1210 even on the lowest settings.

My question is this: is there some way to get around the limitations of 64 MB dedicated? I have tried almost everything; I have updated my drivers, downloaded RivaTuner and nTune to optimize my GO 7400, and even spoken to Dell and changed around all my preferences. I have also edited the .ini file for Oblivion extensively. At this point, I have tried ALMOST everything, but I am throwing this question out there to see if there is any way that I can improve the performance of shared video memory.

I wish I had known the difference between dedicated and integrated sooner; 64 MB really bites. Otherwise, my laptop is great with Vista, but it can't run high-end games for jack at this point.

OK so my new comp says that our Windows Vista is not genuine. I got it about 2 months ago from Best Buy and it has worked great untill now, but starting about a week ago it has started to not let me get into any applications. It just has a box on a black screen that tells me 'your activation period has expired...' so I entered the product key on the side of the computer like it says then it told me that prouduct key is not genuine windows material. It gives me another option to buy a new product key for $150, but I rather not becouse I just bought this expinsive computer. The same expensive computer that is not working. PLEASE HELP ME!!

1. What detailed specs about my motherboard should I look at (besides AGP/PCI ports) when buying a graphics card so I know that my motherboard can handle the card without wasting power or using too much voltage.

2. How do I overclock a graphics card?

Long back I was snapping admirable scenes while video is played and saved them in the image file. Now I am unable to do it as I have forgotten the key? I tried with Ctrl.I; it didn't work. Either I must have forgotten the key or may be another key to it. I like to know please.

I wanted to play battlefield 2142 but my graphics card is a basic one. I want to upgrade, but I've been hearing that the E310 doesn't have agp or pci slots, you would have to buy a crappy graphics card. Is that right?
