They promised it would be out by 2007, and TDK I believe has come up with their disk... does anyone use it? Too expensive? Why is it nowhere in the news?

basically i notice in the task manager my cpu usage goes pretty high up and i barely do anything.like i notice when i play some music or videos it some times plat distorted once that munmber peaks.i check it for spyware,adware,and virus and i just did my updates,,so how can i improve my cpu usage bar where it stays under 30 percent

Can I trick the software I use to connect to the internet into thinking that it's using a slower modem like a 28K? Will reducing the speed at which my modem connects to the internet increase my download speed?

heys guys thanks for replying: i have replaced evrething to its original state (inc RAM, graphics card etc etc) ive basicly as I said took fan and heat sync out and so on and tired all your answers and still nothing happens. also my moniter says "No Signal" all wires and PCI's have been re inserted and still nothin

I was shopping on newegg.com and I came across the Athlon X2-3600 CPU. I saw that there were both Windson and Brisbane models, Brisbane being slightly more expensive. What is the difference between the two? My first guess was that they had different wiring or something but I really have know idea.

It does this when in use and when idle. Any suggestions on what the problem could be? I have a wireless optical mouse by logitech, ive had it for a while, but it works fine on my laptop, but not desktop.

I just bought a new WD hard drive (500GB) and I've installed windows vista on it along with my other WD hard drive (250GB) which has windows XP on it.. how do i set it up to dual boot from the new one to the old one? I set the jumpers right and everything. thanks :)

oh and in order to go from one OS (already installed) to the second one (already installed) I have to move the jumpers from the mother board which is a big problem because I have to open my computers case everytime :(

Ok so im getting a new computer and I want to save all of my pictures and songs.

Im getting one of those flashdrive thing to save it with.
But I dont know what size to get.
Can someone tell me how much 1.50GB + 893KB equals so I can get the right size to hold my stuff with.

Will X1900GT video card work on 330Watt PSU? The brand is Enermax which is a good brand. I checked the watts on 12v on one it says 10ams and other 15amps. My system specifications:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
2GB Corsair Valueselect Ram
I IDE Hard drive

I know that if I format my Laptop it'll return to the way it was when I got it, but, all the guides I've read about this tell me I need my Activation Key and Windows Xp Installation CD, the problem is I don't have any of those things cause Xp came installed on my Laptop. What do I do?

I have a dell b130 inspiron notebook with a 40 gb hard drive, 512 mb of ram, a 1.60 GHz processor and windows xp home edition. i keed running into the problem with randomly losing hard drive space. I have about 33 gb usable on the hard drive and only enough stuff on it to use up about 13 gb, so i should have about 20 gb free. the thing is, i dont. I had this problem about 2 weeks ago, so i backed up all my important files, and did a full system restore to put it back to factory settings. everything was fine until today when i looked at it, it says that i have only about 6 gb free when like i said earlier, i should have about 20 free. does anyone know what might be causing this?

I want to play a game on my PC but it says I have "outdated drivers or video cards that do not meet the game's requirements." I did a DirectX Diagnostic and it says I have NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 card. What should I do now?
