Yes, but it will not use both cores, why would you want to use an operating system that M$ no longer supports? You want to install windows xp professional 64 bit if you have a 64 bit processor. Bear in mind however that most applications are not written for such hardware, so it's really a waste of money.

no it wont take advantage of both cores, but you can run Win2K no problem - even though XP might say you have 2 CPUs with a dual core, its not taking advantage of dual-core - right now there are very few programs that use multiple threads...PhotoShop is one of them.

So...Win2K wont be any slower than XP - actually it will be faster as it is a better OS, not as bloated

no it does not, not even xp takes advantage of having more than 1 core.
