I'm just thinking that it may be a wrong slot to be inserted. My motherboard's a Asrock 775VM800 Model. Hope U can help me.

A stick of DDR and a stick of DDR2 RAM are indexed so you CANNOT put them in the wrong slot. If it has been inserted, then it is in the correct slot.

if you only have that ran brick on the computer, then you should.slot #2 works for dual channel
