i've heard bad things about the 8800 ultra. and i would just get two regular 8800s and SLI.. but i'd rather wait a couple months after i build it to get another 8800 KO ACS!!! SUPREME POWAH!!!

and yeah... i was thinking of watercooling the whole rig.. gpu, cpu, northbridge, ram, everything..

cause its already gonna cost upwards of 2600 bucks =/

**** though, by the time i can save up for all this stuff most of it will have dropped in price..

its just so expensive to get top of the line when it first comes out!! you can get what was top of the line 6 months ago though.. for a decent price...

Wow! Great choice! BUT if you will tweak/overclock your set up, consider the Thermalright Ultra 120. Benchmarks below.

it is definitely fairly maximum superb of the line, lol! the costlier Intel Xeon processors will beat that CPU. you additionally can positioned 2 i7s and make or no longer this is much extra powerful in case you will come across a twin LGA 2011 motherboard. different than that, you have insanely quickly memory, 4 fairly extreme end video enjoying cards. SSDs have become almost a necessity at present. i do no longer think of i could positioned 3 BD burners. seems slightly pointless until you have been making plans to make it a opticalchronic server besides.

If you are going to be spending that much money on it, you might as well spend a little bit more and set up a RAID 5 array.

A little redundancy couldn't hurt.

i'd go for the 8800ultra or get 2 gtxs and SLI them and make sure you get a lot of fans because all that is going to generate a lot of heat
