YES! But NOT both ddr and ddr2 at the same time. Samples below:

Sadly, a DDR RAM won't work in a DDR2 slot and vice a versa. I do not currently know of any mobo that has both DDR and DDR2, and frankly, I see no reason why there would be such a thing. If you just got a new computer that only has DDR2 slots and you have a bunch of old DDR1 RAM chips, then start using the old RAM as bookmarks.

They make a 4 slot with 2 DDR1 and 2 DDR2. You have to pull or put on a jumper pin to make whichever 2 you want to install be read by the board and drives.

DDR1 goes as high as 400MHz,
DDR2 starts at 400MHz

You probably can use both chips in a DDR2 motherboard, if the DDR1 is 400MHz (PC3200), but it is best to use identical memory chips in pairs to get DDR functionality

I would sugguest using only DDR2 at the max speed that your motherboard can handle.

If you mix and match, the system may not boot, or your memory will underclock and run only as fast as the slowest memory module/chip.
