I have a laptop with a built in webcam facing me. I've seen people use theirs for a quick mirror check. How do I do this? I can't figure out how to turn the darn thing on let alone use it at all. I've never used a webcam before. Help!

im plannin on going the route and makin a new gaming computer for under $1000, i can get core duo up to 4ghz 1gig of memory 320 hdd sata raid, and so i AM wondering which of these would be better? does the 8800 still outshine 2 sli cards??

I have a Pent4 3.00GHz and I have 128mb Integrated Graphics Card. I have a PCI slot and wanna go to another Graphics Card. Its not PCI Express or AGP jus PCI I believe. Any other info need lemme know and I'll ad to this question. Any recommendations or advice would be helpful.

My computer flat out needs RAM, and I have a 512MB DDR stick lying around, but I think my computer requires DDR2, is there a difference in memory type that will restrict me from using the DDR on my computer? I don't want to mess up my computer or anything :(

Thanks for the 4 answers I received earlier, but let me try this again. I need to do a system destructive recovery using the CD's that came with my computer. It's telling me to disconnext all conected devices. except for my keyboard, monitor, mouse and power cord. Does that mean to just unplug anything in my USB ports? And I have a Router, will I have to reconnect my husbands computer and laptop as well. I hope I explained this a little better. Please ASAP.

I got a new hard disk, i connected it to my pc and installed a fresh copy of window xp - after i disconnected the old hard disk

now i wanna transfer files from the old disk to the new one
but wen i connect both of them at the same time, it says "disk failure and never turn on the windows..
it only works when i connect only one of the disks
what's wrong?

I have an ATI Radeon 9250 128mb PCI card. When I play fullscreen games, the video is PERFECT. When I try to view DVD's, video downloads or online video, and when I use Internet Explorer, every change in the image or video requires a 1/2 to 1 second refresh of the entire screen. I've messed around with the video card settings for resolution and refresh rate, but have not found a winning combo. Why would video/dvd and everything in Internet Explorer refresh so slow (video is unwatchable!), but full-screen games have such smooth graphics and motion? It seems the game would be more graphics intensive, but they work better... Is there a way I can fix this issue that anyone knows of? I can provide more information if you need.

can some one help me! I don't know what i've pressed but when i try to type on my keyboard it just makes this sound every time i press a letter. I thought it was sticky keys but i pressed shift 5 times and it's still doing the same thing... I can't use any menu obtions or right click on my mouse to solve the problem because i haven't been able to type my password to sign on.... Please help i've been at work for almost 3 hours trying to figure this out....IT was no help they can't come up until tomorrow and they don't offer solutions over the phone..Thanks

I just downloaded the 4 portions of Linux, ie, they are of the filenames "FC-6-ppc-disc?.iso".

May I know how do I use them to create a Linux OS on my computer? I mean, just a comptuter with Linux, and no Windows.

Do I just try to load them from the CD I uploaded them to? What are the steps?
