This is the type of drive which is installed on my computer?
Do you guys have any clue what function(s) it can perform?

This means you can play movies (DVDS) and regular music Cd's on this drive that you have. And the cool thing is I think RW stands for rewritable--so you can copy DVDs or music from your drive. Nice purchase!

That looks like a drive which will both read and write DVDs as well as regular CDs.
