I have recently purchased some speakers. [Durabrand 2.0 CH USB powered speaker system]
They are supposedly PnP however when I connect both the USB and the sound card cord into the computer it does not connect either. I have a usb flash drive that I have tried with the same USB port I am using and it does detect it, So I don't think that the usb port is messed up. Can someone help me, please?

I have 120G internal master, and 60G internal slave drives. These were getting full (mainly music), so I bought an External Seagate 320.
I moved all my music to the external, then copied back to the internal drive the stuff I listen to pretty regularly.
I defrag about 2/3 times a week - due to lots of file movements, etc. But the external drive takes ages - mainly due to analysing the drive (the actual defrag doesn't take long). It's mainly music and back-up stuff i.e. stuff I hope I never need, on the ext. Is it worth defragging more than, say, every 6 months?

I am running Windows XP. Recently i defragmented my c:/ drive. I could finish defragmenting my files but it stated that some files couldnt be defragmented. However, when i try to view the files there were no files being shown.

I had researched and even run " chkdsk c: /f " but however the problem still exists.

What should i do?

I had even defragmented in for more than 10 times and restarted it for more than 3 times but however the problem still exists.
How?

I know how defragments works but just doesnt know why it states some files cannot be defragmented but no files were shown

Suddenly there are blue/yellow bars of color going down my monitor. If I turn open a window and move it, the colors smear across the screen! Happened months ago for a few weeks and dissapeared. Now it is back, is it the monitor or graphics card? How do I find out? Also, now, when I open a video, the picture is fuzzy, grainy so I was thinking graphics card? Or.......

I have just built a computer with the following components:

1. Asus M2N SLI Deluxe Motherboard
2. Maxtor SATAII 160GB Hard Drive
3. Asus 7600 GT PCI-Express Graphics card
4. Hiper 580 watt PSU.

When i switch the computer on the cpu, 4 system and power supply fans rotate. A green onboard LED lights up on the motherboard, to indicate that the system is on in sleep or in soft-off mode. No beep codes are heard, or post messages on the monitor, which remains blank.
I have researched this scenario on the Asus website and the fix they suggest is to unplug the power cord press the power on switch for 10 sec release and replug, then switch the computer on again. That did not work. If anyone can offer any other fixes/suggestions then please do. Thanks.

Will.

I am looking to buy a new computer. I need some good information about the brand of computer you have. I might get one also. What did the seller explain to you when you bought the computer? What made you seek information about your computer? What was your evaluation of the product or overall liking of it? How was your liking of the computer the first day you used it? What was your use of the computer? Was the price of the computer reasonable considering what you bought? How did demographics (population characteristics) come into play in your decision for your computer?

I have a Emachine computer Windows Xp Home Edition. the other night when i was creating a powerpoint, I went to view the slideshow and all of a sudden the computer just shut off. i went to unplug the surge protector from the wall that had the monitor, tower, and printer connected to it, so i unplugged it and plugged it back in the light surrounding the power button was on but when i pressed the button to turn the computer on the power supply or fan would not come on the only thing that would start was the printer and the monitor the next morning i tried to plug it in and the light wouldnt even come on i unplugged it and yesterday i tried to plug it in and see if it would work and it wouldnt but the light came on this time. please tell me what is wrong with my computer, if i need to buy a new power supply, or what might be the problem.

Thanks in advance,
