well if you want MS Word to run on your imac you need to buy MS Office Mac, if you want to be cheap about it and just need a word processor then try openoffice.org its works just as good as MS Word and its free

Actually you can use TextEdit that comes free with every Mac OS X. It can view or save to a Microsoft Word document reasonably well.
There are also MS Word clone type programs like ThinkFree and Unix ports for the Mac. Go to Version Tracker and do a search:

There's also Word for the Mac by Microsoft. Go to their Mactopia web site to learn more about that:
