AVI files won't play on the average dvd player. Get a tv out card for your computer, or search for a file converter to use before burning.

AVI Files will play on some dvd players it just depends on what kind of dvd player you have. If you have a dvd player that will play Divx discs (it will say on the front of the player if it does) then you simply download Divx (its free) and after the installation run Divx and click File>Import files to Library, then locate the files that you want to burn onto a dvd if it is a movie then I suggest getting DVD-RW's because you can out about 6 movies on one dvd and if you want to add a movie to your disc then all you have to do is erase the disc but you should first copy the movies off of the disc into a folder on your computer blah blah blah. As I was saying IF you have a Magnavox dvd player that is compatible with Divx is the only way this will work. If you do and need instructions on how to burn and play back in your player email me.
